The Sustainable Transport Kirikiriroa Hamilton Tote Bag Design Competition begins at 12:00am on Monday 19 February 2024 and closes 5pm on Sunday 17 March 2024.
Entry
The participant enters the Sustainable Transport Kirikiriroa Hamilton Tote Bag Design Competition in accordance with these Terms and any Promotion Specific Terms below:
To participate in the Sustainable Transport Kirikiriroa Hamilton Tote Bag Design Competition, the Participant must:
— be attending a high school in the Hamilton City area (as at the commencement of the promotion period);
— be resident in Waikato, New Zealand;
— by entering, the participant agrees that their parent/legal guardian permits them to enter, and agrees their name may be used in social media posts by BUSIT
The participant may only enter the Sustainable Transport Kirikiriroa Hamilton Tote Bag Design Competition once and additional entries submitted by the participant will be deemed invalid.
Entries for the Sustainable Transport Kirikiriroa Hamilton Tote Bag Design Competition must be received by BUSIT within the promotion period.
Any entry that:
— is received outside of the promotion period; and/or
— has not been submitted in accordance with these terms and Save Your City with Public Transport Tote Bag Design Competition specific terms; and/or
— is otherwise incomplete, incorrect, or illegible will be deemed invalid, at the absolute discretion of BUSIT.
— uses or includes any copyrighted or royalty-paid design elements, logos or artworks.
Entries are accepted at the time of receipt by Hamilton City Council and BUSIT. Hamilton City Council and BUSIT are not liable for any entries not received for any reason.
BUSIT assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
Conditions of entry:
Late entries will not be considered. Design content deemed offensive will not be eligible for entry.
The top 12 finalists will be notified by 22 March 2024, and People’s Choice winner will be notified by Thursday 11 April via the school contact details. By entering the competition winners agree to their names being published and to be photographed and/or interviewed by the press or the promoter for publicity purposes.
Prize(s)
Sustainable Transport Kirikiriroa Hamilton Tote Bag Design Competition prize(s) are defined as;
- Grand Prize: $200 Gordon Harris Voucher, $100 Torpedo7 Voucher, tote bag printed, $50 Bee Card and selected BUSIT merchandise
- First Runner Up: $50 Torpedo7 voucher, $25 Bee Card and selected BUSIT merchandise
- Second Runner Up: $50 Torpedo7 voucher, $25 Bee Card and selected BUSIT merchandise
- People’s Choice Award: $100 Torpedo7 voucher, $25 Bee Card and selected BUSIT merchandise
Prize winner(s)
The Sustainable Transport Kirikiriroa Hamilton Tote Bag Design Competition winner(s) shall be determined in the manner set out in the following promotion specific terms;
The top 12 Finalists’ designs will be decided by especially selected judges using a 1-3 scale (each judge gets to nominate 3points, 2points, 1point). The participant with the most points wins the Grand-Prize, then subsequent highest points awarded will win First Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up. The name of the participant and the school will be hidden during judging so no bias will affect the outcome. Any tied points will be awarded with by the judge’s discretion.
After these awards have been presented, all Finalist’s entries will be displayed at the Hamilton Transport Centre and will go to a public vote via paper vote and Facebook. The design with the most votes and positive reactions on Facebook combined will receive the People’s Choice Award.
The prize winner(s) shall be contacted via the contact details provided at the time of entry.
BUSIT reserves the right to determine a new winner(s) where, after three (3) attempts (within 10 business days of the winner being determined), BUSIT has been unable to contact the winner.
The prize(s) must be taken as offered, cannot be redeemed for cash and is neither transferable nor exchangeable, except at the BUSIT’s sole discretion.
If the prize winner(s) does not accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited, and BUSIT reserves the right to determine a new winner.
BUSIT is not liable for any prize that may be lost, stolen, forged, damaged, or tampered with in any way after it leaves our possession.
BUSIT’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The participant acknowledges that the Sustainable Transport Kirikiriroa Hamilton Tote Bag Design Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with any retail service provider. The associated brands included in the prizes have no official affiliation with Waikato Regional Council or Hamilton City Council.
Use of personal information and consent to publicity
By entering the Sustainable Transport Kirikiriroa Hamilton Tote Bag Design Competition, the Participant agrees that the Promotor may use the Participant’s personal information:
— to carry out the Sustainable Transport Kirikiriroa Hamilton Tote Bag Design Competition, including determining and notifying the winner(s);
— to provide the prize to the winner, including, where required, disclosing that information to the supplier or sponsor of the prize and/or regulatory authorities; and
— for marketing, promotional, publicity, research, and profiling purposes.
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to his/hers/their name, region and/or photograph being used for such publicity purposes as reasonably determined by BUSIT, including publication on the BUSIT website and/or social media accounts. The winner agrees to make themselves reasonably available for this purpose, without compensation.
