The 25 Taumarunui bus service has ended and is no longer running. The service finished on 26 June 2026 as part of a move to a safer, more sustainable model focused on health transport.
From 1 July 2026, a dedicated health shuttle is available for patients travelling to Waikato Hospital, operated by Health New Zealand. Public transport options from Taumarunui are now limited to InterCity services or connecting routes via Te Kūiti or Kihikihi.
