The 27. Tauwhare Pā service launched on Monday 12 February 2024.
Connecting to Hamilton via the University of Waikato, this bus service alternates routes.
27: University - Tauwhare Pā - University
28: University - Tamahere/Matangi - University
Launching as a trial service in partnership with Waikato District Council, these routes will be using the smaller sprinter bus with 12 seats (or 10 including a wheelchair or mobility scooter), this service connects to the following BUSIT services below:
University of Waikato, Gate 1
Knighton Road
- Orbiter (High frequency - 15 minutes: Clockwise and Anti Clockwise)
NOTE: The Orbiter does not connect to the Hamilton Transport Centre - Meteor (High frequency - 15 minutes: West to East)
Get around independently – to the shops, medical appointments, the library, or to visit friends and family without having to rely on others for a ride – or worry about driving and parking.
FARES
Travelling through two zones, the full fare from Hamilton to Tauwhare Pā will be $5 cash or $3 Bee Card adult fare.
