‘Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion’
Terms and conditions
The Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion begins at 7.00am on Wednesday 6 November 2024 and closes 5.00pm on Wednesday 11 December 2024. This promotion is coordinated by BUSIT, on behalf of Waikato Regional Council.
Entry
The participant enters the Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion in accordance with these Terms and any Promotion Specific Terms below:
To participate in the Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion, the Participant must:
— have caregivers’ permission to enter if under the age of 16 years;
— be resident in Waikato, New Zealand;
— by entering, the participant agrees that their name may be used to make announcements of the winners on social media channels for BUSIT.
The participant may only enter the Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion once and additional entries submitted by the participant will be deemed invalid.
Entries for the Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion must be received by BUSIT within the promotion period.
Any entry that:
— is received outside of the promotion period; and/or
— has not been submitted in accordance with these terms and Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion specific terms; and/or
— is otherwise incomplete, incorrect, or illegible will be deemed invalid, at the absolute discretion of BUSIT; and/or
— uses or includes any offensive content; or
-includes any plagarised content
will not be eligible for entry.
Entries are accepted at the time of receipt by Waikato Regional Council and BUSIT. Waikato Regional Council and BUSIT are not liable for any entries not received for any reason.
BUSIT assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
BUSIT’s decision in regard to the eligibiltiy of any entry into the competition is final, and no correspondence will be entered .
Conditions of entry:
Late entries will not be considered. Any content deemed offensive will not be eligible for entry.
The ten winners will be notified by Monday 16 December 2024 via the supplied parent/guardian contact details. By entering the competition winners parent and/or legal guardian agrees to their child’s first name being published and their likeness to be photographed and/or interviewed by the promotional team from BUSIT for publicity purposes.
Prize(s)
Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion prize(s) are defined as;
- 10 x Treasure packs (Valued at over $40 each).
Each pack includes:
1 x $25 Bee Card
1 x $10 Travel Café voucher
1 x Bag of assorted BUSIT merchandise
- 1x JBL wireless headphones (Valued at $269 - one of the pack winners will be randomly selected)
Prize(s) can be collected from the BUSIT Counter at the Hamilton Transport Centre, or delivered by mail (at winner’s risk, prizes will not be redelivered if lost).
Prize winner(s)
The Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion winner(s) shall be determined in the manner set out in the following promotion specific terms;
The prize winner(s) shall be selected by a member if the BUSIT marketing team and contacted via the contact details supplied at the time of entry.
BUSIT reserves the right to determine a new winner(s) where, after two (2) attempts (within 5 business days of the winner being determined), BUSIT has been unable to contact the winner.
The prize(s) must be taken as offered, cannot be redeemed for cash and is neither transferable nor exchangeable, except at the BUSIT’s sole discretion.
If the prize winner(s) does not accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited, and BUSIT reserves the right to determine a new winner, or forfeit the prize.
BUSIT is not liable for any prize that may be lost, stolen, forged, damaged, or tampered with in any way after it leaves our possession.
BUSIT’s decision in regard to the prize winner(s) is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion is in no way , endorsed, or administered by, or associated with any retail service provider or social media channel. The associated brands included in the prizes have no official affiliation with Waikato Regional Council or any business partners.
Use of personal information and consent to publicity
By entering the Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion, the Participant agrees that the Promotor may use the Participant’s personal information:
— to carry out the Transport Centre Treasure Hunt Promotion, including determining and notifying the winner(s);
— to provide the prize to the winner, including, where required, disclosing that information to the supplier or sponsor of the prize and/or regulatory authorities; and
— for marketing, promotional, publicity, research, and profiling purposes.
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees their first name and/or photograph being used for such publicity purposes as reasonably determined by BUSIT, including publication on the BUSIT website and/or social media accounts. The winner’s parent/guardian/caregiver agrees to make themselves reasonably available for this purpose, without compensation.
All personal information will be collected and stored in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Waikato Regional Council ‘Privacy of your information’ statement located here.

Can you colour in our Double Decker EV bus?
Win! Three winners will be chosen to win one of three prize packs which include 1x $25 Bee Card, 1x $30 voucher for The Warehouse and selected BUSIT merchandise!
One winner will be selected from each age group:
- 5-7 years
- 8-10 years
- 11-13 years
Competition is open to all Waipā residents aged 5-13 years. Only one entry per person.
Entries are to be hand delivered to either the Cambridge isite or Te Awamutu isite, or the BUSIT Counter at the Hamilton Transport Center, during normal business hours.

Terms and conditions
The Waipā Double Decker EV Colouring Competition begins at 12:00am on Monday 18 November 2024 and closes 5pm on Monday 2 December 2024. This promotion is coordinated by BUSIT on behalf of Waikato Regional Council, in cooperation with Waipā District Council and Tranzit Group.
Entry
The participant enters the Waipā Double Decker EV Colouring Competition in accordance with these Terms and any Promotion Specific Terms below:
To participate in the Waipā Double Decker EV Colouring Competition, the Participant must:
— be attending a school in the Waipā District area (as at the commencement of the promotion period);
— be resident in Waikato, New Zealand;
— by entering, the participant agrees that their parent/legal guardian permits them to enter, and agrees their competition entry and first name may be used in social media posts by BUSIT
The participant may only enter the Waipā Double Decker EV Colouring Competition once and additional entries submitted by the participant will be deemed invalid.
Entries for the Waipā Double Decker EV Colouring Competition must be received by BUSIT within the promotion period.
Any entry that:
— is received outside of the promotion period; and/or
— has not been submitted in accordance with these terms and Waipā Double Decker EV Colouring Competition specific terms; and/or

The winners artwork will be considered and decided by especially selected judges, appropriately nominated by BUSIT staff.
The prize winner(s) shall be contacted via the contact details provided at the time of entry.
